So, the summer coordinator here in Seattle is slacking off on his/her job again. This happens every few years–they hire someone who is just not up to the task of making sure that we have sun and warmth throughout the summer. I guess they go on major martini lunch benders and forget to turn up the heat. Anyway, we’ve had another non-summer here.
So, my daughter is doing Circus Camp again–even with the fractured foot. Apparently the fracture is “stable” and she was given the OK by the radiologist to do activity if it didn’t hurt. She’s loving it and comes home every day with an extended description of what they did.
I have been doing sporadic knitting. I’m knitting a pair of socks for my MIL (who is the best darn MIL on the planet. I love her!). I’m also working on Martha from Rowan (from a million years ago). And the Peace shawl from Fiber Trends. But the only work in progress picture I can seem to access (because I can’t figure out my new computer and where the files are held) is the one of the Pomatomus sock I’m working on from Knitty:
The yarn is Blue Moon Fiber Arts‘ Socks That Rock in the Dutch Canyon colorway (lightweight). This is such great yarn! I love it.
