So, my daughter is currently interested in time. Two weekends ago she made a time machine–it was an elaborate process that took quite a lot of effort. When she was finished, she said: “This is a special time machine. It doesn’t go back to the past like other time machines, instead, it goes back to the future.” I nodded my head at her ingenuity, unable to tell her that someone else had come up with that idea…
Then, this past weekend, she came over to me and told me that she had a box of time and would I like some? I said “sure” (I mean, what parent doesn’t need more time?). So, she got me a box and shook her box over my box. Then she went and got a desk clock and held it over her box. She said that she was running out of time and so she was collecting more time. She said that with every “tick” the clock put out more time. That way, she explained, she would never run out of time.
Is she deep or what?
