I have the entire day off and I’m spring cleaning. Yay! Mostly knitting and paperwork–which are taking over every surface in our house. Before we had Girlfriend, dAhub and I had an extra table in the house that we used for our piles. Yep, we are pilers. Hence, the need for a “pile table”. It was great. Now that we have less room due to the presence of a little girl, who is also a piler, we have no pile table. And the piles have now taken over floor space–’cause that’s where many of Girlfriend’s piles reside. Agh.
I’m frogging projects that have long ceased to provide any pleasure and have turned into albatrosses around my neck. The following are no more in my life:
1) Mystery Stole 4 (Serendipity)–too much work for a pattern I’m not super thrilled about
2) Galileo Mittens–still don’t like knitting mittens (even though I was initially attracted to the pattern), AND the pattern is too small for my hands
3) Dahlia Socks–love the yarn and the way the pattern looks, but I realize that I just don’t like knitting twisted stitches (and this whole pattern is twisted stitches, bleh).
Sigh. It feels so good to get rid of those.
(An aside: I’mlistening to BBC radio and they are talking about eating crab brains. Sounds yummy…)
Hopefully by the end of the day I’ll have most of the piles cleared away. Wow, then I can start new piles!
