Yikes! It’s still freezing here in Seattle. The thermometer hovers around 20 degrees during the day and sometimes dips into the teens at night. For us that’s cooolllddd. I’m kind of loving it because it just slows everything down. But, I realize that it’s a drag for many people.
It lightly snowed all day yesterday–which was magical. The chickens are still stumped. We need to run out and pour hot water on their water every so often.
Girlfriend got sad and weepy last night and worried that she wouldn’t see me when she’s grown up (she’s currently 6). I told her I would see her every day if she wanted. She made me promise that we would have lunch every Saturday (at least) when she’s grown up. I said “it’s a date!” This morning she gave me a note that says “lunch on Saterday” Very sweet.

Awww. That’s sweet.
I thought yesterday was just magical too. It made the everything seem more still and quiet with the lightly falling snow. I love days like that.

Oh 6 is such a sweet age – nobody can be your bestest friend like a 6 year old, lucky you having snow, we are having wind and rain and it is so dark that we have the lights on all day. The West of Scotland can be really miserable in winter.
