Greetings! Today is our 10th wedding anniversary. Wow! It doesn’t seem possible. We’ve been married for 10 years and have been together for 12 years. And we’ve had a daughter in there somewhere. How did that happen?
Above is the bouquet DAhub sent to me in honor of our anniversary. During our courting days (blush), he sent flowers to me at my workplace on a regular basis–causing much jealousy amongst my co-workers. I feel quite lucky–I love flowers and he has always been a keen flower-sender!
We have a fun weekend planned. Tonight, Girlfriend is going to have her FIRST SLEEPOVER EVER with her best friend (a boy). They have already planned the whole thing. Including the fact that they can’t sleep in the same bed together because the BOY kicks too much in his sleep. (just wait for snoring, honey) I guess these are the years when it’s OK for them to talk about sleeping together. 10 years from now, DAHub will be over there with a shot gun at the mere mention of sleeping together :). Anyway, they are psyched.
DAHub and I are psyched, too–we going to spend the night (our first without Girlfriend) at the same hotel at which we spent our wedding night. It’s a fancy-schmancy place in downtown Seattle. I already alerted them to the fact that it’s our wedding anniversary, so maybe they will do something a little special (hey, I plan on milking this thing for all it’s worth). I’ve also made a dinner reservation at a fancy restaurant (again, I notified them of said 10 year anniversary!).
The next day, we pick up Girlfriend and we go to a little beach cottage on a nearby island (right on the beach) for a couple of days of fun and relaxation. The plan is to completely veg out. No plans, no nothing, except for playing on our own private beach and zoning out. Heaven.
We have had a busy summer. I will post more info and more pictures at a later date!

Happiest of anniversaries to you both! Enjoy the evening (I’m well impressed that the man gives flowers) and the cottage holiday of doing nowt – they are the best kind of holidays, bliss.
